The acceptance process is a combination of a written application and reference letters from some key people in your ministry and life. These combine to give us a picture of you personally and professionally. These will be reviewed by our team and, if helpful, we may follow up with a conversation via telephone or email. We want to be sure that you are a good fit and will feel like you are in the right place if accepted!

Applications should be filled out online and submitted in a timely manner. We review materials as they arrive and respond to you as promptly as possible! Along with your application, the following references also are requested:

  • 1. The council president of the congregation where you serve
  • 2. A trusted mentor who has a sense of your leadership potential (if you serve as an associate pastor, we request that this is the senior/lead pastor)
  • 3. Your spouse (if married)

All letters may be submitted online and will be treated confidentially.


Set aside 30 to 45 minutes to complete the application. If you would like to look over the application before you begin your submission, here is a PDF version of the application. Once we have received all of your materials, our admissions team will review your application and respond to you. Participants will be notified of their acceptance 30 days after submission of application. A class begins in a region when we have certain criteria in place: a certain number of participants are committed to this learning journey, partnerships with Partner Learning Sites are established, and financial resources are identified.
